- Amica Insurance is running a fradulent business! 9 years ago they were priced okay, unfortunately after paying them every month for NINE years I had to file a claim for property damages! 7 months later I AM still waiting for them to accept or deny the cliam! the Amica claims supervisor, Don Nguyen is dragging this on claiming that the damages took place 26 months ago and that I just filed the cliam in November of 2010! - My home burnt 6 months ago amica gave us some money up front and provided us with a place to live. 2 months into the claim the started demanding we provide certain documents and we go in for questioning under oath, there laywer was the biggest ass#$%& he questioned me for 8 hours over 2 days. 3 days before our 6 month lease was up they decided to deny our claim stating the whole policy they said we tried to mislead they as to how the fire started I never when they asked me how I thought the fire started I said the state fire investors said it started in any electrical box. - My vehicle was struck by a hit and run driver had proof. Amica sided with the Hit and run driver...Not alot of damage. But I would not recomend. Poor claims handling. Cant imagine if it was a bigger issue....Would not reccomend.

My family maintains several properties, the first is insured by AMICA and the second which has been in the family for many years is located in another state and is separately insured. - I had two property claims in 2003 due to Hurricane Isabell. One claim was about $4000. The other was about $80000. I had another property claim due to a fallen tree in March 2009 for $13000 and another property claim due to storm damage for $35000 in June 2009. I was hit by another driver in March 2009 and my car was a total loss (but I waited for the other driver's insurance company to pay for property damage). more...
