- I used to own a car insured with Geico, and I sold my car in Jan 2011. when I called Geico to cancel my policy, and since they deducted the money in advance, they owed me a remaining balance. I have never received the check of the remaining
balance until March 2011, they claimed that they sent it twice to an address that is different from the my address on file (I
do not really know why would they do so ) so I asked them to send it again and confirmed the address to them. Full Review - My wife was in an accident with a driver who turned left in front of her who had been drinking. Geico was the provider of the other driver and us.
Getting a FAIR settlement on my wife's car was impossible. We ended up settling for far less than the car was worth. We shopped around for rates after the loss and discovered that Geico had been over charging us for coverage for years. Full Review - I was hit in the rear by a Geico client who had their "minimum insurance" which was $5,000. When the adjuster visited and indicated the total cost of repair and rental car was likely to exceed that amount I was informed they refused to process the claim. Go to your insurance company. I had to pay the deductable (five hundred dollars) and Geico did not pay the entire amount. Full Review
