- I had Mercury ins for 5 years, and when I had a hit and run accident they did everything not to pay for my losses. They hired a group of investigators who made me look as criminal. I'll never recomend anyone to have Mercury as their auto insurance carrier.
- Been with them for years - Best prices and when someone ran into my Explorer 5 yrs ago - they handled it professionally an got a great body shop to do the job. If you have to have insurance (and you do) they are a good company to work with.
- I do not have Mercury Insurance and never will. A person who has Mercury hit my parked car, totalling it and was arrested for a DUI along with a hit and run. The guy even admitted to it. It is pretty clear who is at fault in this situation, however Mercury gave me the run around claiming that thier client was not at fault! more...
- Mercury Insurance is really cheap, and is a great value for its price. Very affordable, and they get the job done. I had a few claims and everything turned out good. For the price I'm paying, I'm a very satisfied customer.

- Driving on the freeway in San Diego, a semi tractor trailer tire separated and threw a large chunk of rubber into the road. I hit the tire tread and damaged the front spoiler. No way I could avoid flying debris, if I swerved to avoid the tire I would have crashed into other cars. However Mercury adjuster was very skeptical.
- cancelled my policy with mercury insurance and after two months and 8-9 calls between the agent (PHD) they outsource to and mercury insurance billing dept I still have not recieved my refund!!! Additionally, not open on weekend or outside normal business hours 9am-5pm (I guess this point could be overlooked if you are unemployeed)
- I have been with Mercury for about 8 years. I have full coverage on my car - everything they offer - and their rates are WAY cheaper than other insurance companies. I have called Geico and Progressive before, whom I thought about switching to, and they basically said "we can't match that rate" almost instantly. more...
- Just ok, nothing exceptional. But nothing exceptionally bad either. Very workman-like, took care of my claims adequately. but didn't go out of their way to be extra helpful either.
