Thanks For Nothing (or very little)
I was rear ended by an Allstate customer who ran a stop sign and it took five weeks for Allstate to reimburse me for damages. During that time my local StateFarm agent called them on my behalf one time after I asked them to see what was the hold up. The answer was that they were still waiting to hear back from their customer. Then I was on my own. I basically had to represent myself. Statefarm never demanded that they make a timely decision since their driver was clearly at fault and refused to call his own insurance company back out of guilt. If it was them or their family member that was left to fend for themselves they would be equally furious. Insurance companies are about as liked as lawyers, but really? I have cancelled my policy and am with another company that is half the price for the same coverage and two nbors tell me they handled their claims great.
