Travelers Homeowners Insurance Review
Retired Home Owner
I don't remember the end date of service but I started a policy with Travelers' in Florida.
I maintained the same policy until the company told me they were no longer going to insure property in Florida be cause of the storm risk, etc. This time period was for several years because I kept the Property and it is now still a rental property. During this period of years I never filed a claim or missed or was late on a payment. I was informed that I would have 30 days to acquire more insurance on the home before my policy was cancelled. This was not much notice, so I would with a state risk policy which was covered by State Farm Ins. However, this was not a really bad deal because I wound up with better coverage at a much lower price. I now have 3 homes and four cars insured in three states with State Farm. I would never consider travelers in any situation because I have personal experience which proves that if risk increases, they turn tail and run.
