USAA Auto Insurance Review
inefficient and rude service
Was involved in an accident with a USAA insured driver. USAA driver admitted fault at the scene but reneged after the fact. USAA told us they would have to investigate and would order a copy of the police report. They said it could take up to two weeks to receive a copy of the police report (why two weeks in this day and age?). Meanwhile, they send me a letter stating "If" they accept responsibility for the accident they will only pay for my rental car for two more days (body shop has not even started to repair my van at this point). Two weeks goes by and I call USAA back to check on the status. They inform me they haven't received a copy of the police report. I question why it would take so long to receive a police report and why no one with USAA is following up and the rude representative tells me "if you think you can get the police report quicker than call the police department yourself". I did call the police department myself and requested a copy which they said they could fax to me the same day. I asked them to please indicate the date they first received a request for the report and they informed me they had not received a previous request! I am appalled that a business can treat people this way and get away with it!
